RAW INFINITE PRESENCE / compact text-visual essay / 2026

OPEN
CALL

We’re putting together a small digital zine to be published on the site, a compact text-visual essay showcasing works where art stops being just an image and turns into an event, something you actually experience and live through in the moment.

We’re not interested in:

  • right answers;
  • trend compliance;
  • “well-made” pieces that exist just to be well-made.

We care about one thing only:
does something happen to the viewer’s body when they encounter the work, or not.

Curator: Kuro / @obeythatdog
What we’re looking for
Works that carry at least one of the following concepts*:

— RAW
A sense of direct contact with reality.
Not a performance of “honesty,” but the actual absence of distance between experience and its expression.

— INFINITE
The work opens into something larger than itself.
It doesn’t explain — it expands. Doesn’t illustrate — it shifts perception.

— PRESENCE
You can feel the author was here.
And it demands the same from the viewer.

*You’re strongly encouraged to read the full RAW INFINITE PRESENCE manifesto for proper immersion and understanding.
How to know it’s about you
Before you submit, ask yourself a few things:

  • Does this piece make someone stop, or does it slide by unnoticed?
  • Is there risk in it, or just control?
  • Does it hold up without explanation?
  • Does it carry a trace of lived experience, or just the idea of one?
  • Did I make this from presence, or from knowing how it’s “supposed” to be done?

If even one answer tightens something inside you, that’s enough.
Important
By submitting your work, you confirm that:

  • you are the author or hold the rights to the material;
  • you are not infringing on any third-party copyrights;
  • you agree to have your work published in the digital zine (with full credit);
  • you accept the rules of the platform used for submission.
