That's temporary — but it isn't accidental. A project that begins with the artist can't begin with a shop window.
We're taking
CROWNED DOGS apart in order to put it back together. Keeping what held: anonymity instead of a name, support instead of evaluation, safety instead of selection. Everything else — the feed, the catalogue, the gallery, the excuse to talk about ourselves — won't survive the rebuild.
The artist came before the institution. Sometimes that's worth saying out loud, even if it means going quiet for a while.
